Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Water Emergency: Jet Skier Rescued In Massapequa A jet skier in distress was rescued overnight on Long Island. The Water Emergency occurred on Friday, May 3 at 9:20 p.m. in Massapequa. Nassau County Police received a call from 911 about a jet skier in distress near Great Island.  A Nassau County aviation helicopter and marine unit used their spotlights to locate the jet ski.  It had struck a sandbar and become disabled.  Marine Bureau 6 safely transported the operator back to Wantagh Park, and no injuries were reported. 6 Shot At Residence In Westbury An investigation is underway after people were shot at a Long Island residence overnight. It happened on Friday, May 3 at 10:45 p.m. in Westbury. Nassau County Police Third Precinct officers responded to a Pepperidge Road residence after receiving a report of shots fired.  Upon their arrival, it was discovered that six individuals had been shot, but fortunately, their injuries were not life-threatening.  All of the victims were taken to local hospitals and are currently in stable condition.  The investigation is ongoing and police have not yet released info on a suspect or…
