Chef Jose Garces envisioned Village Whiskey’s menu as a place for him and his team to grab a meal after a long shift.

It offers a raw bar, bar snacks, pickled items, a limited number of entrees and duck fat fries -- along with 200 whiskeys and a large selection of classic and contemporary cocktails, the reports say.

Distrito will open its second New Jersey location (the other is at the Moorestown Mall) at the new Closter Plaza next year, Boozy Burbs reports.

It includes shareable plates and “contemporary interpretations” of regional Mexican favorites — along with 100 varieties of tequila, the report says.

Garces, who previously had three eateries at the Revel casino before it closed, operates restaurants in five states, most in Philadelphia.Boozy Burbs also broke the news that the organic burger chain Bareburger will open its fourth New Jersey location at the new plaza, joining Edgewater, Hoboken and another planned for Montclair.

The 50-year-old Closter Plaza is being renovated into a shopping center of more than 200,000 square feet, with a Whole Foods expected to be the anchor, beginning in November 2016.
