The winter that seemingly will not end -- with the start of spring notwithstanding -- is making yet another encore appearance Sunday morning.

Chilly temperatures, combined with wind-chill values at or below the freezing mark have resulted in bands of scattered snow showers spreading through the tristate area Sunday morning.

How long will they last?

Until about midday when temperatures continue to climb, with the high eventually reaching the low-40s. Some accumulation of a dusting or so is possible on grassy surfaces.

Some rain showers are possible in the early afternoon. Skies will be mostly cloudy throughout the day.

Wind-chill values will be between 25 and 35 degrees Sunday with wind gusts up to 20 mph.

Skies will clear overnight Sunday into Monday, which will be a sunny day with a high in the low-40s.

Temps will again be in the mid-40s under mostly sunny skies.
