Bus Hits Pedestrian In North Philadelphia: SEPTA
One person was hospitalized after being struck by a bus in Philadelphia's Hunting Park on Monday night, May 27. SEPTA said it happened near the corner of 13th Street and Erie Avenue around 9 p.m. The pedestrian was hit by the left side mirror of a Route 56 bus, according to transit officials. "The pedestrian was taken to the hospital in critical condition, however, the injuries are reported to be non-life threatening," a spokesperson said. No one on the bus was injured, they added.

A free weekend shuttle bus servicing a popular pedestrian and cycling path on the new Tappan Zee Bridge between Westchester and Rockland counties is set to resume operation. It happened on a Route 99 bus near the Macy's at King of Prussia mall, according to investigators. NJ Transit is continuing to tweak its ticket policy. NJ Transit announced that refunds will be made available for unused one-way tickets purchased prior to Saturday, June 1. The refund policy will also apply to rail 10-trip tickets. Tickets purchased on or after June 1 must be used by the end of July and will not be eligible for refunds. Police have identified the victim killed in an Alexandria motorcycle crash as a 23-year-old resident. Kaden Olsen, of Alexandria, was heading east on Duke Street when he was broadsided by a DASH bus making a left turn onto North Ripley Street around 5:05 p.m.Tuesday, April 9, Alexandria police said. The bus driver was the only person on the bus at the time of the accident. No other injuries were reported and the scene was cleared by 10:40 p.m. Olsen died at the scene and charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
