A former Connecticut resident and serial burglar faces more charges after breaking into another deli in Westchester, police announced.
Port Chester resident Cesar Salazar-Duque, age 36, was arrested on Thursday, Dec. 7 in connection with a burglary that occurred at Sage Deli in Mamaroneck at 392 Palmer Ave., the Village of Mamaroneck Police Department announced.
According to the department, Salazar-Duque, who once lived in the Fairfield County town of Greenwich, allegedly broke the deli's front door window on Friday, Nov. 17.

A 27-year-old man has been nabbed for burglarizing two homes in Northern Westchester, police said.
The man, whose name was not released, was charged with burglarizing two homes in Briarcliff Manor on Saturday, Aug. 5, the village's police department announced on Tuesday, Aug. 29.
The suspect, who is from the Bronx, was charged with two counts of second-degree burglary in addition to other charges, police said.
The investigation into the burglaries is still ongoing, and more arrests may be made, authorities added.

A longtime police officer from North Jersey has died after a hard-fought battle with cancer.
Ernesto “Ernie” Hernandez, 51, of Kearny, died on Feb. 10, 2022, after 23 years on the force. After beating colon cancer 4 years ago, Hernandez was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic/liver cancer on Christmas 2021.
Ernesto's 91-year-old mother, Hilda, has endured the loss of two sons to the exact same cancer three days shy of exactly 6 years apart. Her son, Efrain Hernandez, former Gulf War Air Force Pilot, died on Feb. 14, 2016.

More than 100 firearms were seized and 11 people were arrested following a six-month, multi-agency investigation into “ghost guns” and illegal weapons in Westchester and Putnam counties.
Search warrants were executed at eight locations by local, county, and federal authorities in Westchester and Putnam this week, which led to the seizure of rifles, handguns, “ghost guns,” and multiple high-capacity drum magazines.
