Woman Held Hostage, Sexually Assaulted By Man She Met On Gainesville Street: Cops A 60-year-old Virginia man was arrested after holding a victim hostage and sexually assaulting her, police said. Teodros Girma, of Gainesville, approached a woman around 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 12 on Deming Drive, and went into the woman's apartment together, Prince William County police said. Girma prevented her from leaving and inappropriately touched her, police said. The victim eventually left the apartment and reported the incident to a family member who contacted the police.  Girma was arrested and charged with abduction with intent to defile and sexual assault.

Brooklyn Man Shot Dead At Irvington Home A 61-year-old Brooklyn, NY man was shot and killed overnight in Irvington, NJ, authorities said. Oliver A. Francis was shot at a home on Melville Place at approximately 2:30 a.m. Sunday, April 14, Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II and Irvington Public Safety Director Tracy Bowers said.
