Election 2016 Results: Closter Republicans Voted To Council

Closter voters re-elected Republican incumbent Vicky Amitai to council, along with running-mate Joseph Yammarino. The Cresskill Council remains dominated by the GOP, who ran unopposed.

Closter Council

Republicans Joseph Yammarino and Republican incumbent Victoria Roti Amitai earned the two seats on the Closter Council. Yammarino earned 28.5% of votes while Amitai earned 26.9%.

The pair was up against Democrats Scott M. Devlin and Bryce Barnes.

Closter BOE

Board member Stephanie S. Lee earned the majority of votes with more than 40%. Janine Micera trailed behind her with 31% and Ruchi Kothari came in with 27.8%.

Cresskill Council

Republican incumbents Simone Tsigounis and Mark Spina ran unopposed.

Cresskill BOE

Incumbent Cindy Wolfer was re-elected to the board with 26.5% of votes, along with incumbent Michael V. DePalo (21.7%) and Dionna Lee Griffin (19.7%). The three were up against Raffi Odabashian and incumbent Caryn Aronson.

Demarest Council 

Democrat Melinda Iannuzzi earned 27% of votes while Republican Joseph Gray earned 24.6% of votes. Joseph Connolly earned 24.3% and James M. Carroll trailed with 23.8%.

Demarest Council Unexpired

Democrat Rebecca La Pira earned 54% of votes while Republican Paul Trager trailed with 45.9%.

Demarest BOE

Christen Governale earned 36.3% of votes. Incumbents Ammu Kirtane trailed with 28% along with Sheila Verna, who earned 35%.
