Nea Vignoli was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with “a bloody face, a gash on her left hand and pain throughout her body” after the incident, just after 5:40 pm., at the intersection of New Bridge Road and Rector Court, Capt. Mustafa Rabboh said Wednesday.
Her injuries weren’t considered life-threatening, he said.
Vignoli “was crossing New Bridge Road, walking southbound [on Rector Court] in an unmarked crosswalk,” when she was struck by a northbound Ford F-150 driven by 45-year-old Norman Hoyt Jr. of Bergenfield as he made a right turn, the captain said.
She was dragged about 30 feet “before the driver felt resistance from the vehicle and realized he may have struck something,” Rabboh said.
The driver received summonses for careless driving and "failing to stop for a pedestrian in an unmarked crosswalk," he said.
