CLOSTER, N.J. — The long effort to preserve the Harold Hess Lustron House apparently have paid off, reported northjersey.com.

The borough is the new owner of the Durie Avenue home after receiving a $25,000 grant from the state Historic Preservation Office toward its preservation plan for the landmark, said the northjersey.com story.

The plan details the necessary repairs and outlines goals for preserving the house, reported northjersey.com.

The Lustron House is historically significant since it was a home designed for soldiers returning from World War II, the northjersey.com story said.
