Richard Levine reached out the Mahwah mayor’s office for assistance clearing his driveway. The senior citizen was soon put in touch with volunteers eager to help.

“It was like the pioneering spirit of yesteryear,” Levine said.

“When I needed help to clear the compacted snow at the front of my driveway, they came and cleaned the entire driveway. I am a senior citizen-veteran and appreciate the help,” he said.

Mahwah Mayor Bill Laforet gave a shout out to the volunteers on Facebook.

“Mahwah is a great place to live, and here is a perfect example why,” he wrote.

Volunteers included people involved with Access For All – Mahwah and Boy Scout Troop 258.
