Valley's Population Health Officer Brings Innovation To Community Health

RIDGEWOOD, N.J. -- Valley Health System is has welcomed Dr. Fran Ganz-Lord as the System’s new Chief Quality and Population Health Officer.

Dr. Ganz-Lord, an accomplished physician and healthcare administrator, joins Valley from Northwell Health, the largest healthcare system in New York State, where she served as Medical Director for Northwell’s Clinical Integration Network and Medicare Shared Savings Program.

Dr. Ganz-Lord received her medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine, and completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell, where she continued her education with a fellowship in Health Policy Leadership. Dr. Ganz-Lord’s research on topics such as Type 2 Diabetes and Healthcare Quality has been published in medical textbooks and peer-reviewed journals. 

In her new role, Dr. Ganz-Lord, a resident of Larchmont, N.Y., will lead Valley’s population health initiative which aims to enhance and maintain the health and well-being of the communities served by Valley Health System. The initiative encompasses preventative care and screening programs to promote healthy living, as well as services for patients with chronic conditions such as heart failure and diabetes to best manage their condition and improve their quality of life.

Valley’s Population Health program is currently working with both Medicare and commercial payors. Dr. Ganz-Lord will also be responsible for overseeing programs and initiatives to enhance patient safety and quality throughout Valley Health System.
