CRESSKILL, N.J. -- A food and wine event with celebrities is planned Sunday at the Clinton Inn in Tenafly.
Giants of Generosity based in Cresskill will hold its Third Annual Celebrity Food & Wine Showcase & Expo March 20.
Tickets for the full event are $65 per person and $75 at the door. All tickets include entrance to the Grand Tasting featuring samples from restaurants, bakeries and wine/spirit vendors throughout the area; a silent auction; live entertainment; and the celebrity and student cook-off competitions.
Students from Bergen Community College’s culinary arts program will compete for a $500 scholarship offered by Mariner’s Bank.
Facing off in this year’s celebrity competition will be News12NJ anchor Carissa Lawson and Sheryl A. Fody, executive producer of “Consumer 411.”
GOG is also holding a virtual 50/50 raffle to raise funds to support local residents in need. Cost is $10 for five chances. The winner will be announced at the event.
All raffle participants who purchase the $40 pack of raffle tickets will be entered to win two free entries into the Celebrity Food & Wine Show.
Proceeds from GOG’s signature annual fundraiser support the organization’s mission to provide emergency relief to local residents facing life-altering situations and have nowhere else to turn.
The virtual raffle is a new addition to the fundraiser, which draws several hundred attendees every year. Corporate sponsorship opportunities are available and silent auction items are being requested to help make the event as successful as possible.
