CRESSKILL, N.J. — Dumont historian Dick Burnon will give a pre-Election Day Talk on suffragist leader Alice Paul on Oct. 29 at the Cresskill Public Library.

Paul, a feminist and women's right's activist, strategized events such as the Silent Sentinels in the 1910s campaign for the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

She also fought to secure constitutional equality for women with the Equal Rights Amendment.

The lecture will begin at 7 p.m. at the library, 53 Union Ave.
