Hosted by the Demarest Nature Center, participants should meet at the Wakelee Field Playground at 9:30 a.m. for a walk with naturalist Marc Gossen. He will lead the group through the trails to spot signs of spring in the flora and fauna.
Volunteer Day follows at 10:30 a.m. Wear long pants and bring gardening gloves. The group will be cleaning up litter and doing light trail maintenance.
Meet at the Wakelee Field Playground parking lot for either events.
Rain date, only if extreme weather, is on Sunday, April 24.
