Red Hills Towing Company in April launched a petition that has since garnered more than 130 signatures, aimed to "put an end to discrimination against minority owned businesses as well as stop the exploitation of Englewood's residents who are getting their cars towed and being charged outrageous fees," the petition says.

"This is taking place primarily in the 3rd and 4th Wards. Help put an end to unfair favoritism of preferred towing company by the Englewood Police Department. This petition is to reinstate Red Hills Towing back to the official city tow list as the only minority towing company in Englewood."
