Giants of Generosity has been awarded a $3,500 grant from TD Charitable Foundation and $500 from the proceeds raised by the Bergenfield-Dumont Rotary Club's annual 5K Zombie Run last month.

“Many people come to us who are facing foreclosures or evictions because of extended unemployment or other crises and this grant helps us support them in their time of need," GOG Executive Director D. Jane Albanese said. "We are very grateful... for these grants, which helps us fulfill our mission."

GOG has helped more than 500 individuals and families by providing financial assistance, connections to other vitally needed resources, and moral support (SEE: Cresskill Non-Profit Brings Help To Family In Need).

TD Bank will donate $50 to Giants of Generosity for every new checking account opened and $10 for every existing checking, savings or money market account that participates in its affinity program with GOG.

“It’s such an easy way to make a difference in the lives of others, without any effort on the part of the account holder,” Albanese said. “For those TD Bank customers who are already participating in the program, we thank you.”
